The Mini-Mutoscope is a project by Tentacle Media Ltd. It's a 3d printed version of a 19th Century mechanical flipbook. The Mutoscope contains 42 printed frames of animation which flip through at speed when you crank the handle. This tricks the eye into seeing animation, the same effect as a flipbook!

We love the mutoscope as it is a way to watch our animated creations in a physical and tangible way. In a world that is ruled by screens the mutoscope harks back to simpler times and the joy of seeing a series of images spring to life before your eyes!
